The Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded

The Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded each year by the ISPG to a scientist who made a major contribution to the advancement of the field of Psychiatric Genetics. Only ISPG members can nominate individuals for this award, and more than one ISPG member can nominate the same individual. Nominations should include a recent curriculum vitae and a short description of the scientific work and achievements justifying why the proposed scientist is eligible for the ISPG Lifetime Achievement Award.

Nominations should be sent to the Awards Committee c/o jnurnber@iupui.edu. The award will be presented at the World Congress of Psychiatric Genetics, the annual meeting of the International Society of Psychiatric Genetics.

The Lifetime Achievement Award consists of a golden DNA helix specially designed by the internationally recognized sculptor Charles Reina, from Long Island, NY (the copyright of which is owned by ISPG).

The Theodore Reich Young Investigator Award

The Board of the ISPG invites nominations for the Theodore Reich Award. Theodore ( Ted ) Reich (1938-2003) was the first President of the ISPG and was both an outstanding researcher and mentor to young scientists. The award will be made for published work on psychiatric genetics that is of exceptional merit, and candidates will normally be 40 years old or younger in the year of their nomination. Candidates need not be members of the Society but proposers should be members of good standing. The award is available annually, but will not be made in the absence of any work of sufficient merit.
